Summary: Cougars 1st game of the season faced with playing without 3 of their top 4 guards due to injury and suspension. Drew Letterman and Matthew Kardulis injured during football. Trenton Burleson serving a 2 game suspension due to an ejection in the Lincolnton football game.
Blackhawks returning 4 starters from a good team had 4 weeks of practice to get ready for the Cougars. Heritage came out after the Blackhawks.
The combination of John Cannon and Alex Biggerstaff were fantastic. Alex dominated the first half scoring 16 of his 22. Cannon was unstoppable as he finished with 23 points, 17 rebounds and 9 blocks. Eli Buckner in his 1st varsity game scored 9 points.
