Christmas Tourney games Cougar girls!


  Cougars entered the Christmas tourney in boone to take on West caldwell first round . The talented warriors squad had no answer for Moutain Heritages More  physical style! Cougars time ans gain went inside to Kayla Shepard and Brittany Frye! Cougars was impressive with rebounds and winning turnover battle  Breanna Woody defense was smothering stopping the warriors outside shots!
Kayla Johnson and Samm Chandler also had great shooting nights. As the cougars won 58-41



The second round was going to much tougher as the Cougars faces Watauga who won the tourney last year! The  game would be to also hard without Taylor Parker who is been out with a foot injury!
Thursday after jumping out to a 12-point, first quarter lead.

 Watauga grabbed a 17-5 Watauga (5-5) LEAD
was up 30-16 by halftime. cougars lose again to Pioneers 58-39

 Rhodes finished with 10 points and was still
named the tournament�s Most Valuable Player. Rhodes finished with 18
points one game earlier in the Pioneer� win over Nation Ford.

Hannah Shipp led Watauga in scoring with 16 points Thursday. Abby
Harrelson scored 13 points and Hannah Margolis added 12

Heritage could not stop 10 3-point shots, . Harrelson and Shipp each made three from
beyond the arc, while Margolis and Shelby Gilliam each made two.

No Cougar scored in double figures. Briana Woody led
Mountain Heritage with eight points.

 SO THE COUGARS GO TO BOONE GO 1-1 FINISH 2ND BEHIND A POWERFUL 4A SCHOOL !
Gilliam and Margolis were both were on the all-tournament team. Woody,
Kayla Shepherd from Mountain Heritage, Molly Steptoe from West
Caldwell and Zharne Glover from Nation Ford were also named to the
team.
