LADY COUGARS BEAT OWEN 81-61

LADY COUGARS had they're toughest game of the season vs the Lady Warhorse's
 only leading 10-15 after the first period.
 But it didn't take long for SHELTON to rally the troops. Summer Ray had 7 Pt's 4rebounds 2 steals 2assist a charge and even a block. Maria Kardulis had 6 rebounds 2 steals 2 assist with her 2 Pt's. BRIANNA WOODY 9 rebounds lead the team her 14 Pt's helped the cougars take a 34-22 lead into the half. The Second Half was all Heritage! Samm Chandler had 13pts 3 rebounds 2 assist! Kaylon Johnson 7pts  and Nyssa Freeman's 11pt's 3 rebounds 2 blocks 2 steals finished off the Warhorses in the second half.

Varsity mens team kick warhorse's win 81-68

A much improved Owen Warhorse's came to "THE DEN"  looking for years of payback , Against a struggling Cougars team.

 Owen shot the lights out of the gym early leading 22-14 at the end of the 1st period.  But the Cougars settled down as ALEX BIGGERSTAFF found his shot scoring 25pts5rebounds 4assist 1steal. Spencer 'THE PRIEST' Bishop had his best game of the year with 17pts (hitting two 3s)  5 rebounds 5 assist .  Cougars outscored the Warhorses 21-12 in the second taking the lead into the half 35-34.

The second half TIM HENSLEY and AUSTIN "BOB" TAYLOR defense killed the the warhorses. HENSLEY finished 8pts 2 rebounds 3 rebounds.TAYLOR'S easy put backs going 9-12 from the field finishing with 20pts 17 rebounds 1 steal a block,1assist. Drew Hoilman also had a good game 5 Pt's 8 rebounds 1 steal 1 assist. Rounding out the cougar scorers Lucas King with 5 points a perfect 4-4 off the line 1 reb, 1 steal 4 assist.

BRIANNA WOODY had 15pts 9rebounds, 2steals, 5assist, KAYLON JOHNSON lead the scorer's with 16pts raining down 4 3 pointers. SAMM CHANDLER also had 16pts 10 rebounds, 3steals,4assist. Mountain Heritage let up in the second on the visitor's.

But Young DESTINY ELKINS keeps impressing with 10pts 8rebounds 2 assist.

A-TOWN COUGARS BLOWOUT MH COUGARS BOYS 81-32

Mountain Heritage went to Asheville in 2010 and blowed out the Asheville cougars by 30 plus Pt's! It looks like the Asheville Cougars didn't forget the blow out loss!
Asheville came out shooting hot opening a 22-8 1st period lead. Cougars offense was stalled.  Only player for the MH team that had more than one basket was AUSTIN "BOB" TAYLOR going 4-6 from the floor perfect from the line leading MH with 9pt's, 8rebounds,1steal,1assist. A triple team on ALEX BIGGERSTAFF held him to just 6pts 2rebounds 2 steals. MH trailed 36-18 at the half. Only 3pointer of the night was for

 Drew Brown who finshed with 5pts. Lucas King lead the team with 2 blocks!

Asheville never cooled off outscoring MH 45-14 in the second half

MH Cougars only scored 5pts in the 4th!

COUGARS had 26 Turnovers and only 4 assist. But on a brighter note! Went 100 percent off the line 11-11!

HERITAGE BOYS PULLS AWAY FROM POLK 54-45

COUGARS WERE LOOKING TO GET BACK ON A WINNING STREAK VS THE WOLVERINES

Cougars came out running on the wolverines opening a 10 point lead 27-17 at the half with the best game of the year by Spencer "the priest " Bishop having his best game of the year with 11 points 3 reb's. 1 assist. Who along with "the phenom" Alex Biggerstaff who had 20pts 6 rebounds 1 steal 1 assist. Lead the cougars in scoring. Drew "the kid" Hoilman who had 4pts 8 rebounds 2 blocks 1 steal 1 assist and Austin "big bob" Taylor who had 7 rebounds 1 steal 1 block . Both players pounded the the Wolverines inside. Brandon Buchanan also chipped in 4pts inside.

Cougars still had a 42-30 lead going into the 4th

Tim Hensley had 5pts 3 rebounds 1 steal 2 blocks along with Lucas Kings 6pts 3 rebounds 3 steals and Brandon Brown's 2pts 1 assist rounded out the cougars scoring.

Cougars turned the ball over 20 plus times again this season.

ACR was embarrassed at home the last time these two played. The game was close at the 1st period 15-14. But without star Eli Buckner The rockets slowly pulled away. By the half the score was 38-26. Alex biggerstaff had 10pts. Leading scorer for the Cougars was JR. Big BOB Taylor who had almost all his Pt's off the glass finished with 15pts. Spencer Bishop answered the rockets with 7pts. But the fourth period was an implosion for the cougars being outscored 20-2 losing
