Cougars fall to Rosman 30-27

Rosman  had 371 rushing  in route to defeating Heritage 30-27 at THE PIT

Qb Duran Scruggs, ran for a game-high 232 yards and scored 3touchdowns on for 91 yards on a 3rd and long .

Cougars took a 7-0 lead after TREVOR ROBINSON ran in from 9 yards  to take a 7-0 which was set up by a great  kick return from senior Lucas King. Trevor was 10-23 with 2 tds for 142 yards 85 yards rushing . Jake McClellen  scored on a 42 yard pass that tied the game at 14. Mcclellen caught 3 balls for 60 yards having a 20 yard avg  ,  Cougar D was over powered by the Tigers, as Rosman took a  20-14 lead at halftime . Brett Sisk added Rosman’s fourth TD, on the ground from 5 yards out.The next Tiger drive, Cougars held Tigers out of endzone forced a turn over on downs. But The Cougars were held 3 and out, A bad snap on the punt sailed out of the end zone making the score 30-21. With under 3 mins trevor Robinson threw a perfect strike to Lucas King from 38 yards, King had 2 rec. for 38 yards.. Extra pt was blocked. Rosman recovered the onside kick converted a big 3rd down  and 2 with full back Blaise McCall. Then ran out the clock.  ROSMAN WINS 30-27, Cougars have a next week off.

ERWIN VARSITY OPENING NIGHT LOSS.

Cougars open up season @3A powerhouse Erwin  Cougars played keep away in the first half keeping the ball 20 Min's. in the first half. QB Trevor Robinson capped off the first drive with a TD pass to RB  Drew Holman. Erwin wasted little time answering as the warrior's returned the kickoff 75 yards. Cougars had a big drive finished by Austin Gardner who caught another TD from Robinson, Cougars took a 13-7 lead in to the half . But Cougars with at smaller roster wore out in the Second half. Erwin kept the ball on the ground and scored 34 unanswered. Cougars fall 41-19
